A little more about me…..

I am a passionate insurance industry guy who absolutely loves the dynamic and ever-changing P&C world. Surfing and spending time in the Mighty Pacific is my other passion whether that be in San Diego or my beloved Costa Rica! I am a bit of a tech trend geek as well because there are so many amazing developments happening in so many industries.

What a blessing it is to be able to use “creative analytic” skills (that odd blend of a people person who really enjoys the numbers) to help our member agents every day get the resources they need to grow their independent agencies! When my kids asked me what I did for work, I told them I am an intermediary. It just sounded easier to explain than insurance. When they asked, “What is that?” I told them “Dad gets to connect people with the things they need to grow their businesses and help their families”.

The world of P&C insurance is such an exciting place to be, even if it elicits yawns from more than a few people. My hope is that we will see more 22-35-year-olds decide to jump into the challenging, but exciting world of insurance entrepreneurship by opening an independent agency.

We are living in a technological renaissance that is going to reshape our world and with every reshaping new risks are created and insurance is needed to hedge those risks. Our industry touches every single part of the economy and without the risk hedge that insurance provides the economy would grind to a halt. The opportunities are boundless!
