Now that we are a bit past the halfway point of 2025, it seemed like a good time to review the rate request trends. Hope this update provides you some perspective on the lines of business the carriers are requesting rate in, and which carriers are in the mix. Keep in mind these are requests, not approvals. Every filing has to go through a thorough review by the DOI, and sometimes public hearings before a final decision is made about the rate request.

Through June 27th, the DOI has been reviewing a total of 1,255 rate filing requests. The breakdown by Line of Business:
Commercial Lines: 971 filings
Personal Lines: 284 filings
